This week is Spirit Week.  Activities, etc. are as follows:
Friday – Halloween Dance in the afternoon.  Dress up in your favourite costume.  There will also be a haunted house during the dance.

There will be a haunted house this afternoon being held in the cafeteria. It will be $1 to enter. The money raised will go towards helping a Winnipeg patient get treatment for Lyme disease. It is really important that we all come out and show support to someone that's related to our Jimmie community! There will be an announcement when the haunted house is open.

Today is the last day to hand in cookie dough forms and money to Mr. Kangas.

Attention JV boys basketball players. The next try out  will be Wednesday at 3:30.  If you are unable to make it please let Mr. Boville know.

There will be a brief Social Justice meeting today at noon in Ms.Tuschererer's room.  See Ms. T or Ms. Frolek for information about an upcoming opportunity next Wednesday and stay for a trick or a treat! 

Any students interested in volunteering with the Linwood Mentor program or the Brooklands Literacy project, please see Ms. Tuchscherer in room 105 briefly at lunch today to sign up. 

Students and staff if you have got your "crazy" on... make your way down to the school entrance by the office to have your photo taken at 12:05!!

Attention Grads:  Josten Rings will be here on Wednesday, Nov. 4th  to sell grad rings and grad tags.  Catalogues can be picked up in the office.  Design your own ring.

Attention Jimmies:  WE Day is taking place on Monday, November 16th.  This year 37 students will be attending.  I guess you are asking yourself, "How do I get to go"?  Well, I will tell you.  Stop by the office and pick up an application form for We Day.  The application has to be back to the office by Monday, November 2nd.

Have you ever wanted to know your blood type? Canadian Blood Services will be here Tuesday, November 3rd doing typing for the school. If you are under 17 and would like your blood typed, please see Mrs. Connor in room 209.

Last year's yearbooks are available for pickup now! If you purchased a book already, please see Mr. Robson in room 213 AT LUNCH in order to pick yours up. You can still buy a copy of last year's or this year's yearbook in the office.

Are you a Grade 12 student with a minimum average of 75%, who is planning to attend University next September and has demonstrated outstanding community leadership?  If so, please pick up an information form at the office about the TD Scholarships for Community Leadership.  Last year out of the 2400 applications received by TD Bank, 20 students were awarded full scholarships valued at up to $70,000 each.  This year’s recipient might be you!  Please see Mrs. Brophy if you have any questions.

Thursday – Throwback Thursday (dress up/anything from the past), Bingo in room 105 at lunch.
Friday – Halloween Dance in the afternoon.  Dress up in your favourite costume.  There will also be a haunted house during the dance.

Indoor Soccer Intramurals today at 12:20- Strikers FC vs Dribbles fo Shizzle

Tomorrow is the last day to hand in cookie dough forms and money to Mr. Kangas.

Attention JV boys basketball players.  There is a change to the tryout time and dates.   Try outs will continue tomorrow (Friday) at 3:30.  The next try out atter that will be Wednesday at 3:30.  If you are unable to make it please let Mr. Boville know.

A reminder to grade 11 and 12 students that the University of Manitoba is hosting their annual Evening of Excellence for grade 11 and 12 students and their parents tonight from 6:00-9:00 PM.   Families can attend presentations, mini-campus tours, and enter a draw to win one of two $1,000 tuition prizes to be put towards 2016-17 University of Manitoba tuition fees.  Pick up an information sheet at the office and register on line to attend.  
Any student - International, newcomer or anyone who speaks a second language AND is interested in challenging their first language for up to FOUR credits, please see Ms. Frolek for details!
